PROJECT SUMMARY

Original Content

Dale’s Remodeling, a residential remodeling company in Salem, Oregon hired Dena Weigel Bell in 2014 through Word’s Out PR to create original content on their blog and increase their website’s search engine optimization as part of a larger public relations campaign.

Dale’s has been a part of the Salem business community for thirty years but had not yet taken full advantage of the additional marketing support a well-managed blog could offer. Words Out PR created an integrated marketing campaign that included strategies to support both traditional and emerging methods by their website’s online status in support of  their overall marketing plan. As part of this plan, Dena contributed original content to the company’s blog that was shared on Dale’s Remodeling’s social networks, industry and local websites and repurposed in company newsletters and other marketing materials.

The results of the campaign elevated public awareness of Dale’s Remodeling on the internet and positioned VanLyndgraf as an emerging industry leader.


A SUMMARY OF WORK PERFORMED FROM DECEMBER 2014 to JANUARY 2017

Goals:

    • To develop and maintain a strong, positive reputation as the best residential remodeling company in Oregon’s Mid-Willamette Valley.
  • To introduce VP of marketing Kayla VanLyndgraf as a new leader and face of the company.
  • To increase Dale’s Remodeling’s ranking on top search engines, such as Google and Bing.
  • To support the integrated marketing plan, with additional content for social media, newsletters and traditional media.

Work:

    • Created original, high-quality content for the blog, at least two to four published posts per month, providing visitors to the website with broader visibility into the business.
  • Increased the website’s search engine optimization (SEO) with targeted keywords and phrases.
  • Contributed to industry blogs as Dale’s Remodeler’s ghostwriter.

Results:

    • Number one placement in Google search results for ‘Salem Oregon Remodeling,” “Salem Oregon General Contractor,” and “Salem Oregon Remodeling Contractor” among other search terms.
    • The blog was the third most frequented page on Dale’s Remodeling’s website.
  • Over 40% the total website pageviews came to the company website through the blog’s social network referrals, including industry specific websites like Houzz.
  • Guest posted on the National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s website. (Link can be found here.)
  • Blog posts were picked up by local media outlets.
  • Provided fresh content for integrated marketing campaigns through repurposed blog posts for company newsletters.
